West Point Junior High

October 26, 2025
Hey Warriors!
What an incredible week at West Point Junior High! Our Warriors are off to an amazing start this term—working hard, showing up, and living the Warrior Code every day. Keep that momentum going, Warriors—you’re doing awesome!
Friday’s Harvest Dance was a big hit! The energy, the music, and the sea of smiling faces made it a night to remember. We loved seeing everyone come together to celebrate being a Warrior! A huge shoutout to our amazing sponsors—Johnston Farms, Pumpkin Passions, and Hawgs Lawn Care—for helping make the night such a success. Check out the dance highlights in this newsletter! Thank you to all of our chaperones!
We’ve also launched National Junior Honor Society’s Annual Food Drive, and they need your help! Let’s fill those bins by the front office with canned goods, boxed cereal, and pantry staples. Donations will be accepted until November 7, so let’s show just how generous our Warrior community can be.
This week, it’s time to show your school spirit and make healthy, drug-free choices during Red Ribbon Week! Join in the fun each day:
-
Monday: Rally in Red – Wear red & sign the Drug-Free pledge!
-
Tuesday: Twin Day – Match with a friend! $1 for donuts & cocoa from PTSA
-
Wednesday: Jersey Day – Rep your favorite team & shoot hoops at lunch!
-
Thursday: Warrior Pride Day – Rock your WPJH gear loud and proud!
-
Friday: Say BOO to Drugs – Dress up in your Halloween costume and grab a treat!
Let’s make this the best Red Ribbon Week yet and show everyone what Warrior Pride looks like!
A quick reminder: costumes are welcome on Friday, but please make sure they follow dress code, no masks or full face make up, and keep learning the focus. Check out the full costume guidelines in this newsletter.
And finally—our Warriors Are Wonderful Community Fundraiser is right around the corner! We’re still looking for a few more sponsors to help us reach our goal. Every donation makes a difference! You can learn more or donate at https://dsdgive.net/event/6624

Be responsible: Recognize that students in a wide age range will see the costumes. Costumes should be family friendly. Masks may not be worn. Costumes may not be gory or threatening. No make-up that alters skin color is allowed. Minimal costume makeup is allowed.
Be safe: No hand-held weapon accessories, real or pretend are allowed. Crowns or hats may be worn. Hand-held accessories such as a microphone, wand, etc. are discouraged because they can be lost or break.

West Point Junior High NJHS Kicks Off Annual Canned Food Drive
West Point Junior High’s National Junior Honor Society is excited to announce the start of its annual Canned Food Drive. This important event brings our school community together to support families in need and fight food insecurity. Students, staff, and families are encouraged to donate non-perishable food items throughout the drive. Every can and box collected will help make a difference for local families during the upcoming holiday season. NJHS members are leading the effort by organizing collections, promoting participation, and volunteering their time. Members will also earn service hours for their contributions and leadership. To make things even more exciting, there will be rewards for top contributors and classes that show the most school spirit. Together, we can turn small acts of kindness into a big impact. Join us in showing what it means to care, share, and serve. Let’s make this year’s Food Drive the most successful one yet!
The Food Drive is happening now and runs through November 7. Bring in Canned food, Dry Cereal, Boxed items and nothing in glass. Food bins are located by the front office. Thank you for your support.
Sponsors Needed
Warriors Are Wonderful — We’re Looking for Sponsors!
Hey Warrior Community!
It’s that time of year again — our annual Warriors Are Wonderful fundraiser is here! Over the past five years, West Point Junior High has raised and donated more than $38,000 to local charities, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community. This year, we’re setting our sights on a new goal — $15,000 — to support two amazing causes that directly impact local families:
- Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP)
A national organization that builds and delivers beds to children who don’t have one. Every donation helps make sure no child sleeps on the floor. Learn more
- Warrior Haven
Our very own Family Connection Center here at WPJH! Warrior Haven provides students experiencing homelessness or hardship with bedding, clothing, snacks, hygiene products, and family resources. More info
How Local Businesses Can Help
Our local sponsors are the heart of this fundraiser! Your support helps us teach students the power of giving back. All donations are tax-deductible and make a lasting impact right here in Davis County.
Sponsor Benefits:
- Recognition in our weekly school newsletter (reaching over 2,000 patrons)
- Public thanks during our Warriors Are Wonderful assemblies, including the Closing Celebration on December 19, 2025
- Recognition on our school website and social media
- $600 or more: Receive a 3’×5’ banner displayed in our gym for an entire year, seen by students, families, and the community during games, assemblies, and city events!
Ways to Give
Monetary Donations: Click here to donate
In-Kind Donations: Gift cards, merchandise, coupons, or Sleep in Heavenly Peace items (twin sheet sets, comforters, pillows, wood, or tools). These items also serve as incentives for students who serve and give during the fundraiser!
Donations can be mailed to West Point Junior High or given directly to a visiting representative.
Together, let’s continue our tradition of kindness, community, and Warrior pride. Let’s show what it means to be Warriors Who Are Wonderful!
