Dear Center Community,

Extended day and other classrooms took the time to recognize our veterans this week. Students in Rm 3 had a chance to learn more about the important role of our firefighters and thank them as well.

Thank you to all who helped out with Recycle Day last week.

Next week, we begin a fun PRIDE challenge. Students in Wings A & B will be urged to show their PRIDE in the restrooms, ensuring they "GO, FLUSH, WASH, and LEAVE" while also making sure trash goes in the can and doors remain unlocked. Random checks will occur throughout the day and a paw print will be posted to the door each time there is evidence of students showing their PRIDE. The first wing to get 20 paw prints will earn an extra recess.

Drop Off Safety

Please be sure to pull all the way up to the traffic coordinator before letting your students out. Please do not pass cars on the right side once students have exited your vehicle.

A reminder that there is no school on Monday, November 11th in honor of Veterans Day. We want to take a moment to acknowledge and express our gratitude to all those who have served in the military. Your sacrifices and dedication to our country are deeply appreciated, and we honor you this special day

Help Still Needed

Looking for a way to help out but have limited time and can't make it into the school? Katie LaRochelle needs some assistance preparing some project folders for students. Please email her at larochellek@chelmsford.k12.ma.us if you are able to donate a couple of hours of your time.

Enjoy the long weekend.

Warm Regards,

Dianna and Donna

Gratitude

Center School students and staff are grateful for the wonderful community that they are a part of! During the month of November, you'll see our gratitude tree growing leaves with things that members of the Center School Community are grateful for. Center School's 'Gratitude Tree' will be located in the lower lobby and throughout the month of November you'll see our tree become more and more full of leaves as students and staff express their gratitude to this great community!

Food Services Information

This year, and moving forward, Massachusetts is offering all school lunch and breakfast at no charge to students. This does not automatically make families eligible for any other benefits. We strongly encourage families that feel they are eligible for transportation or extended day reduced tuition to fill out the online free and reduced meal application. The links can be found below. https://cpsnutrition.com/index.php?sid=1478035692058&page=lunchapps

If you do qualify for benefits you most likely will be eligible for SNAP benefits. https://www.mass.gov/snap-benefits-formerly-food-stamps

Some examples of SNAP benefits are discounts on gas, electric utilities and internet services.

Please visit our school nutrition website at https://cpsnutrition.com/index.php?sid=1478035692058 for more information about our program and also a link to the free and reduced lunch application.
