THE MUSK OX NEWS
March 20, 2026
Hello From The Principal's Desk!
If you were not able to come to the Principal's Parley meeting and would like to watch the recording, click HERE to get the latest update about what is happening here at FPCS and to hear some items that I would like parent feedback on. 📢
Don't forget that if you have a kindergartner that you will be enrolling for next year, you must apply for the lottery by March 31st and pre-enroll them (step two in the process) between April 23rd and May 29th to be able to start purchasing materials and begin working July 1st. Otherwise, you will not be able to start with them until early August once you accept your seat, complete pre-enrollment, and register online. The second lottery does not run until the end of July, with the other steps to follow. If you have any questions, you can reach out to Lori here in the office.
In other news, please be sure that you have scheduled with your sponsor teacher for spring testing! We need as many as possible to participate. Please consider participating if you have not before. Even if you don't feel like you need to see the data, it helps us stay in good standing with the state and supports homeschooling in Alaska. There will also be a prize drawing, and any students who participate in the Spring testing and also participated in at least one of the other two testing sessions will be eligible to join the Post Testing Bash at the Dome in May! 🎉
Keep up the good work, parents! 👏

💼 FPCS Reimbursement Department!
📌 OLS Updates
Dear Families,
To make the process more convenient for both you and our team, and as part of our recent OLS update, when a reimbursement, requisition, or vendor specialist leaves a comment on a request in OLS, you will now receive that comment as an email notification.
To identify which request the message refers to, please look at the subject line: “Admin left a comment on item number followed by the item number. Log into OLS, go to Goods and Services, find the corresponding item number, and view the comment there.
For more details, in Goods and Services you can click the blue arrow on the right side of the item to view additional information, including which months have been reimbursed. As shown in the screenshot, January is not listed, which is why an invoice for January was requested.
📌 Reimbursement Reminder!
We would also like to share a quick reminder:
Uploading only a Proof of Payment (credit card or bank statement) is not sufficient. The primary document required for reimbursement is a Proof of Purchase (receipt, invoice, or statement).
If the Proof of Purchase does not show that the order was paid and does not include the last four digits of your credit card, then a Proof of Payment should also be provided.
Please check your pending requests to ensure that all required documents have been uploaded. If your request is still pending after uploading documents, please review them to confirm they are correct and check if there is an admin comment next to the request.
Kind regards,
FPCS Reimbursement Team
