The LMS Express
August 28, 2026
We had a fantastic first few days at LMS! Our school was full of smiling faces throughout the day, as students and teachers connected again after the summer break. The enthusiastic "LMS ROCKS" chant during our day 1 assembly was the loudest we've had yet. The professionalism and care for LMS students was on full display this week, as preparations turned to execution and students reaped the benefits. Spirits are high for another great year, and we know our students will continue to do great things as they always have. Have a great weekend, everyone.
Be well,
Tom

Required Registration for returning students
ALMA Start for all returning students: To complete the required District forms, such as student registration, photo permission, internet permission, etc. for your student, go to sau88-lms.getalma.com and log in with your username and password (generally firstname.lastname format). If you forgot your password, you can reset it from the login screen. Once you log in, click the link under your LMS student that says "Alma Start Forms & Tasks". The link will take you to Alma Start to begin your back to school forms.
Please read through the Alma START information carefully. Accurate completion of this student registration ensures that you will receive calls and emails from the School/District for school cancellations, upcoming events, and emergencies as well as ensuring that your child will have internet access while in school. If you do not have a computer or internet access at home, access is available at school, the SAU, and at the public libraries. If you have any questions, you can check out a tutorial on our website under Families > Alma, or please reach out to Nikki Small at nsmall@sau88.net or call the school.

Instrument "Petting Zoo"
My name is Christian Terry, and I am the Band Director at LMS. I want to personally invite each of you to learn an instrument this fall! All students at Lebanon Middle School have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument. You are welcome to play any of the following instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, french horn, euphonium, trombone, and percussion (both snare drum and mallet percussion).
Our instrument petting zoo will be held on Tuesday, September 1st, at 5:00 PM in the LMS Gym. This is an excellent opportunity for your student musicians to try out various instruments and find the one that best suits them. We'll have a brief “welcome to lessons” introduction before students try out the instruments.
