PTA Update from the Eagle's Nest
PTA Newsletter: Week of November 3, 2025
A message from the PTA Board
We would like to extend a huge thank you to our Grade Connectors and all the volunteers who created spooktacular Halloween Parties. There were so many fun games and sweet treats enjoyed throughout the entire school. A special thanks to the Kohl family for their contribution to the 2025 Parent Auction and for leading the Halloween Parade in perfect K-pop style!
As we head into November, there will be lots of half days and days off from school. Please pay close attention to the District Calendar as you plan out your household schedule.
- November 4: No School
- November 12 & 13: Half Days for Conferences (see Bingham Blast for sign-up information)
We know schedules are busy, please consider supporting our school through some volunteer time during the day or during the Book Fair. Please see below for upcoming opportunities.

Schools Offer Support
Schools Offer Support - SOS supports BPS families with temporary financial needs by providing grocery gift cards, utility and medical bill assistance, and childcare assistance.
Additionally, SOS will be providing gifts cards to families identified by their BPS school to assist with holiday shopping through their annual Season of Giving. They will also have FOOD BAGS available to these families to help with breakfast and lunch over the long December school break. Last year SOS helped 76 BPS families receive gift cards through the Season of Giving.
ANYONE wanting to contribute to assisting BPS families with food and financial insecurity over the holidays, you can Venmo or Zelle your TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION to SOS. We’re asking for $25 denominations to help with distributing the gift cards we purchase evenly among the families.
BPS families in need can request support through our website by clicking on the “request support” button. schoolsoffersupport.org
Birmingham School Open House Events
In Birmingham Public Schools, we have a lot of great options as our students move up grades. In the coming months, we encourage you to take your students to Open House events to help inspire them for where they are headed next, following their time in Bingham Farms. These Open Houses are free to the public, and it is also fun to think, in just 1, 3, 8 years, I'll be there on stage, in the pool, or testing that experiment. All Birmingham Schools have a unified curriculum, so it is a great idea to visit schools that you are interested in to see which culture and offerings are a good fit for your student.
*If you miss an Open House and are still interested in touring the school, please reach out to their office.

Reflections: 11/6 After-school Workshops Available
Calling all creative kids: this year’s Reflections competition is open! Do you enjoy art, music and dance or have an interest in writing, producing films or taking photos? Then join us and have fun unleashing your inner artist with PTA Reflections! This year’s theme is I Belong. At school… playing sports… with your family… in nature… where do you belong? We want to see your amazing art showing us where you belong!
Submission guidelines and entry forms will be available next week, along with a sign up for our next workshop will be November 6! Submissions are due by 11/10 and you do not need to attend a workshop to submit. Please contact Steph Rosik (SRosik6@gmail.com) with any questions. Conference Meals
Help the PTA provide nourishing meals and refreshment for our amazing teachers and staff. A warm meal, a sweet treat, and a little caffeine go a long way on the really long conference days. Thanks for your support!
Teacher Gifts
With all the Prime Days and other shopping deals out there, we want to share that Bingham Farms will once again be offering GiftCrowd for teacher and staff gifts. Information will come out in November. This is a way to contribute to a larger group gift card for each staff person and is their preferred gift. Stay tuned for more details.
Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams, December 9th 8-8:15pm
Join us at Corwell Health Royal Oak for a sweet start to the holiday season. We will join neighbors and first responders in shining a bright light up to children patients who are receiving treatment at the hospital. Dress warmly and bring your favorite flashlights and glow supplies. Parking is near Meijer and we recommend getting there a few minutes early - it will be crowded, just squeeze on in for the fun celebration.
Repeated Info (everything below)
PTA Membership Directory
We invite all our families to participate in our Membership Directory. Within the PTA Membership Toolkit there is a school-wide Directory. This is the best spot to look for contact info for meet-ups, party invitations, and the name and number for "Luke's Mom".
Seriously, the other day he came home with, "Mom I need a play date with ___, I have his number written down..." it was five numbers, nothing else. 🤦🏻♀️(Cue Membership Directory)
Social Media
Stay in touch with friends and share your back-to-school highlights on your grade's Facebook pages. These are meant to be social spaces that spread positivity throughout our classes.

Shop to Support the PTA
Kroger Community Rewards
Help our school while you shop. Under your Kroger Plus Card Account > Rewards > Community Rewards, you can select an organization that a portion of your sale goes to support! Choose AC809 for Bingham Farms Elementary and our PTA gets a check with no extra steps after you sign-up.
Box Tops for Education
A great way to support the school is through Box Top$ for Education. Long gone are the days of clipping the barcodes of cereal boxes or soup labels. Download the app, select Bingham Farms Elementary, and each time you shop at the grocery scan your receipt. It will auto calculate the donation and send it to our school! It is easy, and you don't need to know which food or supplies qualify for credit - the app checks for you. Now download that app while you wait for the bus, or in the pick-up gathering zone. Thanks for supporting our school, and be sure to share with friends and family too!
