Welcome to the 26-27 School Year!
Go Mustangs!
Mustang Families,
I am thrilled to welcome you and your children to the 2026-2027 school year at Mountain View Elementary! As we begin this new journey together, our staff is dedicated to doing what is best for every student, every day. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where all children can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
A new school year brings a fresh start, renewed energy, and endless possibilities. It is an exciting time to set goals, build relationships, and embrace new opportunities for learning and growth. We look forward to partnering with you to help every child reach their full potential.
Thank you for being an important part of our Mustang family. Together, we will make this a successful and memorable year for all of our students

- Car Rider Procedures: Use the designated car rider line in the parking lot for all drop-offs and pick-ups. Please stay in your vehicle, and our staff will assist your child.
Teachers will greet students each morning at 7:50 a.m. at the exterior doors identified on the map that are closest to their classrooms.
Be Prepared
Help Us Keep Students Prepared & Comfortable!
To ensure your child has a great day at school, please help us prepare them for outdoor weather:
Outdoor Gear: We go outside rain or shine, so please send students with appropriate gear (jackets, rain boots, winter hats, gloves, and scarves).
Backup Clothing: Accidents and rain happen! Because our supply of extra clothing is limited, we highly encourage keeping a spare set of clothes in your child's cubby or backpack.
Real time Bus Updates
If your student qualifies for transportation.
StopFinder is a parent app that provides real-time notifications about your child’s school bus, including bus stop locations, pick-up/drop-off times, and customizable GeoAlerts.
Volunteer Opportunities with ASD
We would love to have you in our school.
The 2026–2027 Volunteer Application is now open! All volunteers must reapply each school year. Previous approvals do not carry over.
New this year: Volunteers who interact with students in a school for more than four (4) hours per week are required to complete the Mandatory Reporter Training before volunteering.
Free and Reduced Lunch
Families can apply online using SchoolCafé or check if their child's school participates in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), which offers free meals to all enrolled students without an application.

School Safety
Raptor Visitor Management System
To ensure the safety of our school community, all adult visitors must present a government-issued photo ID upon entry to scan into our Raptor system at the front office during school hours.
Standard Response Protocol
Regular emergency drills are a key part of keeping our schools safe. By practicing how to respond to different types of incidents—like earthquakes, evacuations, and lockdowns—students and staff build the skills and confidence they need to act quickly and stay safe. Ultimately, we practice so our entire school community is prepared and protected in any situation.
