Pine Ridge Prep Update

Dear Pine Ridge Prep Families,

Have a wonderful week! We look forward to seeing all families next week at Parent/Teacher Conferences!

As stated in the Family Handbook, students must be signed in and out daily to ensure student safety. It is NOT ACCEPTABLE to drop students off at the curb and have them walk up to the classroom or office door by themselves. It is expected that every student is walked up to the building by an authorized person, 16 years or older.

Teacher's will be sending Valentine's Day party information home on Wednesday, February 7. Each classroom will be having a party. Please talk to your child's teacher if you would like to bring a snack to share! Valentine's bags will be made at school and each child can bring 18-21 Valentines. Valentines will be provided for those who need them.

If you are not familiar with the Health Services information on the TPS home page, we encourage you to look around and check out all the great resources! You can download medication forms, physical exam forms, etc. You can also see the immunization requirements and get more information on local health and dental low cost care.

Parent/Teacher Conferences will be held on February 21st from 4:00-8:00 and February 22nd from 8:00-8:00. There will be NO SCHOOL for students on February 22nd and 23rd. If you have not yet heard from your child's teacher to schedule your conference, please reach out. Teachers will then use that information to create a finalized schedule. Once that has been done, your student's teacher will send a confirmation of the date and time for your conference. These conferences will be held in person in your child's classroom. We look forward to meeting with you and sharing your child's progress!

Monday through Thursday: 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Arrival begins: 8:30 a.m.

Arrival ends: 8:45 a.m. (students will be considered tardy after 8:50 a.m.)

Dismissal begins: 3:30 p.m.

Dismissal ends: 3:45 p.m. (all students must be picked up by 3:45 p.m.)

Late Start Fridays (every Friday): 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

Arrival begins: 9:30 a.m.

Arrival ends: 9:45 a.m. (students will be considered tardy after 9:50 a.m.)

Dismissal begins: 3:30 p.m.

Dismissal ends: 3:45 p.m. (all students must be picked up by 3:45 p.m.)

Before the first day of school, you will receive a newsletter that explains the arrival and dismissal procedures.

Take a look at the Topeka Resources Checklist. This is very helpful for planning! This is a list of possible resources to help you stretch your dollars and avoid economic emergencies. Place a check beside the ones you are using or have used.

You can find the link to the 2021 Community Resources Council Resource Directory here. This directory provides contact information for a variety of community resources.

If in need of resources, you can also contact the United Way by dialing 211.
