WELCOME
We completed our first full week of school! It was so much fun welcoming back all of our students. This year we did things a little differently. We started school with our 1st-5th graders on Thursday the 17th and then our preschool-kindergarten students joined us on Monday, the 21st. This allowed our BG & KG teachers time on the 17th and 18th to welcome our new families and spend at least thirty minutes with each of their students and families. We were able to be intentional in welcoming them and able to do a mini assessment to ensure we are meeting our newest students with where they are at academically.
Our first week was AWESOME!! I was so impressed with our students and the way they conducted themselves. Our older students are being great leaders and helping our youngest learners find their way. We are off to a great start here at Parkston Elementary!
