Round Lake High School hosted an exciting and educational event aimed at igniting the career aspirations of its students Dec. 13. "Igniting Futures" brought the Round Lake Fire Department directly to the school grounds, offering students a firsthand glimpse into the dynamic world of firefighting and emergency medical services.
Students had the unique opportunity to participate in a range of hands-on activities that simulated the challenges faced by firefighters and paramedics. The event featured interactive stations where students could try on firefighting gear, handle firefighting tools, and even engage in simulated rescue operations. The Round Lake Fire Department professionals guided students through emergency medical scenarios, allowing them to experience the intensity and importance of swift and decisive actions in crisis situations.
To enhance the learning experience, the Round Lake Fire Department conducted live demonstrations showcasing firefighting techniques, equipment usage, and paramedic procedures.
