Hello, Roosevelt families!

The countdown is on—our Roosevelt Walk-A-Thon is this Friday, October 3rd! We’ve raised $765 online so far, but we’re working toward our big goal of $12,500 to fund field trips, classroom supplies, and special events for our students.

Every dollar brings us closer! If each student raises $75 or more, we’ll reach our goal together.

Ways to Donate:

  • Online: givebutter.com/R7O39Q

  • Text: WALKRACCOONS25 to 53555

  • Cash/Check: Send in your donation envelope with your student

Thank you for rallying behind our kids and making this event such a success. Let’s finish strong and show our Raccoon pride!

What is the Walk-A-Thon?

The Roosevelt Elementary Walk-A-Thon is a fun event to promote healthy lifestyles and raise money to support educational opportunities at Roosevelt Elementary.

Each student is asked to safely raise $75 (or whatever amount they can) to support the event and the school’s mission. Please feel free to reach out and collect donations

from family and friends, but due to safety concerns, please do not go door-to-door asking for donations unless you are with a parent.

The main event is the walk itself. All classes participate in the walk as part of their school day, accompanied by teachers.

When Do We Turn In The Money?

Friday, Oct. 3rd

Friends and Family can donate money online.

Scan the QR code to donate or text WALKRACCOONS25 to 53555

All checks should be made payable to Roosevelt PTO.

What Do We Do With the Raised Funds?

All funds raised stay at Roosevelt. Our PTO pays for field trips, reading incentives, classroom supplies, purchasing every fifth grader a yearbook, Math Masters, funding requests from staff, and more!

What Can I Do To Help?

Grocery Receipts = Cash for Roosevelt PTO

When the cashier asks you if you want your receipt, say yes!

Hy-Vee’s Cash 4 Kids program gives schools a percentage of the receipts (except Hy-Vee gas stations) collected throughout the school year. Save those Hy-Vee receipts and drop them to the office or send them with your students.

Funds generated go straight to our Roosevelt PTO.
