MENDHAM BOROUGH SCHOOL DISTRICT

PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION 2026-2027

Dear Parents,

Hilltop School in Mendham Borough is excited to begin the process of forming its 2026-2027 Preschool class. Pre-registration for the 2026-27 Preschool class is now open. Parents must visit our website to review our enrollment process, pre-register, and complete the required forms to upload at the time of pre-registration. Children must be 3 years of age on or before the start of the school year, and fully toilet trained in order to register for Preschool.

You will need your child’s original birth certificate and three (3) proofs of residency from the following list: mortgage statement, certificate of occupancy, homeowner’s insurance, tax bill, lease, deed, and either a gas or electric bill. You will be prompted to upload these documents in the Genesis portal during the online pre-registration process.

Please visit the Hilltop School website (mendhamboro.org) to download the Residency Packet, and required medical forms including the Health Assessment Record, and Universal Health Record. Please note that the Universal Health Record will need to be completed by your child’s physician. We will also require a copy of your child’s up-to-date immunization records which you can obtain from your child’s pediatrician. All of these forms will need to be uploaded to the Genesis Portal during the online registration process.

Once all the required forms and documents have been uploaded, you will receive a confirmation email.

If you have any questions, please contact Celina Carpentiere at 973-543-4175 ext. 124.

Head Lice

We would like to be proactive with stopping the spread of head lice this school year. Please be diligent in checking your child's scalp at home, reporting to the school any instances of active lice, and treating your child's scalp if they have lice. Communication between home and school is essential.

Some helpful tips are

  • Girls should wear their hair in a ponytail or braids. Hairspray also can create barrier that make it more difficult for lice to settle in your child's scalp
  • Encourage children to be mindful of head-to-head contact with others, especially during play or other activities
  • Your child's stuffed animals and bedding should be washed and dried in high temperature settings

Head Lice: What Parents Need to Know

The following information from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) will help you check for, treat, and prevent the spread of head lice.
