Shining Brighter, Growing Stronger!
Hello Main Street Family,
🎉 Thank You, Families!
A big thank you to all the parents and families who attended our September Tiger of the Month celebration! Your support and enthusiasm mean so much to our students and staff. We love celebrating our Tigers’ hard work and positive behavior together!
đź“… No School Monday
There will be no school for students on Monday in observance of Indigenous People’s Day. We hope everyone enjoys the long weekend and takes time to reflect, learn, and celebrate the rich cultures and contributions of Indigenous peoples.
đź“‹ Family Survey
Your voice matters! Please take a few minutes to complete our Family Survey—your feedback helps us continue improving and supports our students’ success. Plus, the class with the highest participation rate will win a special prize
🗓️ Survey closes October 17th, so don’t wait—let’s help your child’s class celebrate!
📝 Interim Reports
Interim reports will be sent home on Tuesday, October 14, 2025.
If you do not receive your child’s report, please contact your child’s teacher.
We also encourage families to reach out directly to the teacher with any questions or concerns about your child’s progress.
🥜 Nut-Free School Reminder
A friendly reminder that Main Street is a nut-free school. Please avoid sending peanut products, including peanut butter or foods containing peanuts, in lunches or snacks. Thank you for helping us keep all students safe and healthy.
đź“… Attendance Matters
Oh no—our attendance rate has dipped! Currently, 70% of students are attending school 90% or more of the time, down from 77%. Our goal is to reach 80%!
Here’s how you can help:
âś… Make sure your child arrives on time each morning.
âś… Avoid early dismissals whenever possible.
✅ Remember—every minute of instruction counts!
Together, we can set every child up for success.

CUSD Technology Usage
Parents and Guardians:
Chromebooks or other technological devices are used in class for students to complete assignments and assessments.. Students may not download games, wallpapers or participate in video group discussions. Improper use of technology could result in the student losing privileges of using the school's device.
Spooky Story Writing in Mrs. Metzger’s Class
Students in Mrs. Metzger’s class engaged in the full writing process to create their own Spooky Stories! They began by brainstorming eerie settings, suspenseful plots, and unique characters. Through careful planning and organization, students crafted rough drafts that focused on building suspense and incorporating vivid sensory details. After receiving peer and teacher feedback, they revised their stories to strengthen narrative structure, enhance word choice, and refine pacing. The final drafts showcased each student’s creativity, attention to mood, and growing mastery of storytelling elements.
Congratulations to our September Tiger of The Month Recipients!
All students must report to school in uniform everyday!
