Smart Start is a time for students with an IEP or 504 Plan, and their families, to visit with their case manager, meet their new classroom teacher, and drop off supplies in a more individualized setting. Smart Start will be on August 22nd from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. This is just before the Falcon Fest event starting at 3:30.

The district has partnered with the Student Services Parent Advisory Committee (SSPAC) to create a Smart Start Checklist, which contains important dates and information you will need to help your student prepare for the new school year. Also, attached please see an optional student introduction worksheet that your child may find helpful to their Smart Start conversations.

The Oregon Department of Education publishes an annual notice regarding state tests in English Language Arts and Math. Please review the Annual Notice for Statewide Tests for information regarding why participation matters, an explanation of the right to opt out, testing windows, and other resources.

Lake Oswego School District is seeking qualified applicants for the Bond Accountability Committee. This committee plays a key role in ensuring transparency and accountability in the implementation of the 2017 school improvement bond. For an explanation of committee member roles, responsibilities, and qualifications, please see the Bond Accountability Committee Charter. Deadline to apply is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23

Supply lists can be found through the 1st Day School Supplies site. Note that the deadline for purchasing pre-packaged supply kits has passed and are no longer available. Families will need to purchase items from the list separately.

Beginning July 29, parents of all students already enrolled for the 2019-20 school year can log into ParentVUE and review/update student information through the Online Registration tab. Accurate information allows the school communicate effectively, including during an emergency and when responding to medical situations.

If you have forgotten your ParentVUE password, go to the login page, click "I am a Parent," then click "Create New Account or Reset Password" and choose "Forgot Password". (The district will mail another Activation Key letter to parents who have not created a ParentVUE login and have an elementary school student.) For guidance, visit the LOSD website (under Enrolling and Transfer > Online Registration) or contact your student's school during its summer office hours. We appreciate your help!

Beginning in the fall, LOSD will begin using a new visitor management system called Raptor Visitor Management System. The system will provide a consistent system to track visitors and volunteers. Visitor badges will be printed with each visit. Badges will include name, photo, and destination of visitors, allowing staff to better support a safe school environment.
