💡 Parent Moves: Helping them become "Big Kids" 💡
Help students manage their time.
After checking the take-home folder with your student, begin to establish a process with them so they take responsibility leading that and talking with you about the two sides of the folder. From there, help them manage their time--study time, time for chores, time for play, and time for bed. Then, study time and bed time (7:30pm) become distinct.
Our Character Strong focus for September is Respect
We make it easy for you to discuss respect at home. Just print the following document to support conversations at home about respect.

Has anyone said your student gets distracted easily, that they may have ADHD, or has trouble focusing?
Schools are required by law to make and follow accommodations when a doctor diagnosis a student. These tests can be expensive. However FREE neuropsychological evaluations are available for students who need it, live in Kane County, and are income eligible. Neuropsychological evaluations can cost families thousands of dollars. These evaluations can provide valuable insights into a student’s cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning to better support their academic and personal success.
