October Theme: Building Attendance Culture

How does BELA intentionally Build an environment where students WANT to come to school :

BELA Fun - Icy Spot Fridays, Dismissal Snack Cart, and After School Dances to balance learning with social and emotional
BELA School Spirit - Spirit Shirts and daily Biscayne motto to engage our students- so they feel seen, heard, and apart of a family
BELA Family Engagement - To ensure students and families don't just attend Biscayne, but they are apart of what makes it operate and what makes it special
BELA celebrations - Exposing students to the world they live in thru celebrating and embracing diverse cultures, history and their own community
Student Focused Environments- Engaging Morning and evening announcements with music and more
BELA School Clubs - Teaching students to work together, find their voice, use their creativity and think critically outside of the classroom
