GATOR FOOD DRIVE! GATOR FOOD DRIVE!

Hey, Gator families! Want to spread some holiday cheer? We’re collecting food for Mathew's Crossing food bank to help families in need this season.

Please have your Gator bring in their favorite canned goods or non-perishable snacks and drop them in the donation boxes at school. Every little bit helps, and together we can make a BIG difference!

Let’s show how much we care in the SWAMP—let’s fill those boxes to the top! As an added incentive Mr. Lockwood, Mr. McCord, Mr. Wright, Mr. Daniel, and Mr. McGee have volunteered to get a pie to the face if the box with their picture on it gets the most cans. So bring in those cans to see whose box will fill first!

Desert Rivers Audubon offers free guided Bird Walks for guests of all ages every third Saturday, October through March, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Dragonfly Ramada. They will loan binoculars and send small groups out with an expert birder for short walks. This is a nice way to enjoy the beautiful wildlife of the Preserve with your friends and family, and to learn about birdwatching and bird identification.

The Early Birds: The Early Birds is a kid’s birding club open to ages 7-13 that meets immediate prior to the Family Bird Walks, at 7:30 AM on the dates below. Parents and grandparents are welcome to come along with this group.
