ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
November Message
Dear Students, Families, and Staff,
October was an exciting and inspiring month here at Fairview! Our community came together for so many meaningful and fun events that truly captured the spirit of our Colt CODE.
We kicked off the month with our Anti-Bullying Program, reminding everyone that kindness and respect are at the heart of what makes our school special. The Fun Run brought smiles, energy, and teamwork to our halls (and maybe a few sore legs, too!). Students also showed off their shopping skills at the Trading Post, and our Tissue Toss added a great mix of fun and friendly competition.
We also continued our commitment to student wellness through Anti-Vaping Programming, helping students make healthy, informed choices. And let’s not forget our Mystery Motivator trip to Paulus Farm Market; what a fantastic way to celebrate positive behavior! Finally, a massive shout-out to our West Shore Marching Band, whose talent and dedication continue to make us proud both on and off the field. Our gym has never sounded so good!
As we look ahead to November, we have even more to be excited about. We’ll continue engaging in meaningful Colt Conversations (every 6th grader will be invited to eat lunch with administration and share their thoughts about what makes Fairview fabulous, what we can improve, what the Fairview of wildest dreams would be like, and what they personally will do to make Fairview at better place--this is my favorite part of every week), strengthening our connections, and sharing our voices. Our Veterans Walk of Honor will be an exceptional opportunity to show gratitude to those who have served our country. Another Mystery Motivator trip is on the horizon, and we have another skating party to look forward to!
And of course, we can’t wait for our November Colt CODE Assembly, where I—and a few brave staff members—will be getting Silly Stringed in celebration of our students’ hard work fundraising! We're purposefully leaving out the TikTok dance we promised...we're working on it, but it's not quite show-worthy yet...We’ll wrap up the month with a well-deserved Thanksgiving Break, a time to rest, recharge, and reflect on all that we’re thankful for.
Thank you for making October such a success and for continuing to make Fairview a place of learning, laughter, and kindness. Let’s make November just as memorable!
With Colt Pride,
Dr. Kelly A. Guistwhite
Assistant Principal, Fairview Intermediate School

To show our appreciation, we invite veterans to join us for morning refreshments, a Veterans Walk of Honor, and a brief recognition ceremony.
If your child has a special veteran in their life who would like to participate, please complete the attached Google Form to let us know who will be joining us for the Walk of Honor.
