$1 Dress Down Day - March 4th

We will hold a $1 Dress Down Day on Friday, March 4th to benefit the American Heart Association!

Wear blue or red in honor of Heart Awareness and those born with Congenital Heart Defects. All proceeds will go to the American Heart Association. This dress down day is at the request of DeSales Kindergartner and CHD warrior, Landon.

Landon's Mom was pregnant with him when he was diagnosed with a Ventricular Septal Defect (a hole in the bottom two chambers of the heart). His heart is now considered repaired as he had his surgery at about 6 months old. However surgery is not a cure and he like his fellow heart warriors will have lifelong care.

Landon told us of his experience, "My heart wasn't working good when I was a baby. We are celebrating that it is working good now and wanted people to know about this (Congenital Heart Defect) so they can have healthy hearts too. God picked me to be a heart kid and I pray for the other heart kids." We are proud of this brave Knight and his commitment to give back! Landon is pictured below.
