Hello Tiger Nation!
In this week’s update, we celebrate the start of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Month, offering resources to help students explore the rich history and contributions of the AAPI community. We also pause to reflect on the historical significance of May 4, 1970, at Kent State University.
Looking ahead, this issue contains information regarding our upcoming Elementary Grade Level Team Meetings (GLTM). These sessions are essential for all returning staff as we provide specialized instructional training for our new Science program launching in the 26-27 school year.
Please see the Elementary GLTM schedule, resources, and our weekly curricular overview below!
Take care,
C&I Team

Additional resources/lessons are below for use within your classroom.

MAY 4, 1970 - KENT STATE UNIVERSITY
Kent State University students protested the Vietnam War in 1970; the Ohio National Guard fired into the crowd killing four students and wounding nine. This event caused a domino effect of students striking and colleges closing (JERRY M. LEWIS and THOMAS R. HENSLEY)
