News, Updates & Reminders:

* It's winter in Savoy! This is a friendly reminder that we play outside at least twice each day, and more when we have PE on Thursday & Friday, so being prepared and dressed appropriately for any weather is important. We especially need coats, hats and gloves for the cold weather each day, and will need snow pants and boots for the days when the snow accumulates.

* During the first week of December our classrooms will be visiting MA MOCA. Each classroom will leave at approximately 9:15am and return by 12:30pm. If you could please sign and return the field trip permission form that was sent this week, it would be appreciated.

The field trip schedule is as follows:

Gr. 3-6 - Monday, Dec. 1st

PreK/K - Wednesday, Dec. 3rd

Gr. 1/2 - Friday, Dec. 5th.

* Aftercare payments are due today. Thank you.

Planning Ahead:

* We have a half day of school on Thursday, Dec. 4th for Parent/Teacher conferences. The Aftercare program will be available for those families that attend on Thursdays and/or have registered for half days.

* The Christmas break runs a full two weeks this year from Dec. 22nd - Jan. 2nd.

PTG Updates:

* The PTG will again be hosting Santa's Workshop on Tuesday, Dec. 16th. Santa's Workshop is an opportunity for our students to shop for small gifts for their family members. We will be in need of volunteers to help support the children while they shop and to wrap gifts, so we appreciate your consideration, if you can be available. More information will be shared as we get closer to the date.

* The PTG is again sponsoring a school apparel fundraiser through Beck's Printing. Please follow the link below, if you would like to order. Orders are due by Nov. 24th, with delivery to the school expected around Dec. 16th.

Health & Safety:

* Check back next week.

I hope you all have a great day and a restful weekend,

Sincerely,

🧡Mrs. Tierney🧡
