Dear NISL Families,

These final days are some of the most important, filled with end-of-year assessments, final exams, celebrations of achievement, and graduation milestones. Your partnership in ensuring daily attendance is essential to helping every student finish the year successfully.
May is National Physical Fitness & Sports Month!
May is recognized nationwide as National Physical Fitness and Sports Month, and we are excited to celebrate by launching our Presidential Fitness Test for all students. Under the leadership of Coach Nouna, students will participate in a series of activities designed to measure strength, endurance, flexibility, and overall physical fitness.
As part of the Presidential Fitness Test, students will complete the following components:
- One-Mile Run: Measures cardiovascular endurance
- Sit-Ups (One Minute): Assesses abdominal strength and endurance
- Push-Ups or Pull-Ups: Measures upper body strength
- Shuttle Run: Tests agility and speed
- Sit-and-Reach: Assesses flexibility, especially in the hamstrings and lower back
At NISL, part of our commitment to holistic education is supporting not only academic excellence but also physical development, discipline, and healthy lifelong habits. We are proud to introduce this award as another way to encourage students to challenge themselves and take pride in their physical growth.
