On Oct. 26th, 4th graders traveled to Minneapolis for the "Heroes of Baseball" field trip. This educational, two-hour "Learning Through Baseball" walking tour was hosted by the Minnesota Twins at Target Field.
Summary of the Program: The tour provides students with a "Classroom in the Ballpark" experience that explores the intersection of sports history and social change. Instead of a standard stadium tour, it functions as a history lesson by examining the lives, sacrifices, and gifts of some of baseball's most iconic figures—many of whom broke barriers to create change.
Highlights of Some 4th Grade Students: -I liked how they showed facts about some of the legendary players. -I loved looking at the field. -I liked that we got to go to the locker room and sit in the chairs of the players.. -I liked that they have the MN lakes written on the walls to name the suites. - I liked that we went into a suite and we saw the big baseball cards. -I got to see the gold trophies; they were really cool. -They have a wall of broken bats on a wall, and they painted the broken bats to make a picture on the wall. -I liked that we went to class and learned about our heroes.
Congratulations to our Educational Support Staff Winners!
The 6th graders visited Fort Snelling on Thursday and had the opportunity to learn about the Fort and how it used to work.

More Halloween fun from Ms. Hambly's 1st grade class
Here is our kindergarten team with Chief Meteorologist Mrs. Samuelson. She is forecasting variable temps and rapidly changing conditions on the eve of Halloween!
Mrs. Miller's class had a spooktacular time celebrating Halloween! Grandma Judy joined us to make Halloween projectors and create blown-art monsters. We also had a special visit from our peer tutor, Ethan Stromberg, who showed up dressed as Buzz Lightyear! What a fun day filled with creativity, laughter, and Halloween fun!
Mrs. Mantel’s class had a spooktacular time celebrating Halloween! We enjoyed wearing our costumes all day, participating in Halloween activities, and showing off our costumes during the Halloween parade. We also made our very own witches’ brew snack and enjoyed munching on it while watching a Halloween show to end our day. What a fun-filled day of Halloween fun!

Dear Families,
Welcome to the upcoming school year! As we prepare to welcome our students back, the health office wants to ensure a smooth, safe, and healthy transition for everyone.
To help you get ready, please take a moment to review a few important health requirements for the upcoming year:
Immunizations (Incoming Kindergarteners and new students): State law requires updated immunizations for students entering Kindergarten. Please ensure your student’s updated immunization records (or a notarized exemption form) are on file before the first day of school on September 1st to avoid any exclusion from classes.
Medications at School: If your student requires any prescription or over-the-counter medications during the school day, a new Medication Administration Form must be filled out each school year. You can easily download this form from our school website: https://www.moraschools.org/page/medications
Action Plans & Chronic Conditions: If your child has a health condition that requires a care plan (such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, or seizures), please notify the health office. We will need the necessary care information and orders from your doctor's office.
Mark Your Calendar: You can bring any prescribed medical orders or medications directly to the school during our Open House on August 26th.
If you have any questions, need assistance, or just want to chat about your student's health needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are here to help!
Warmly,
Shauna Cronk
