September is School Attendance Awareness Month recognizing that regular school attendance is ESSENTIAL to student achievement. Students cannot learn when they are not in attendance!

Did you know? Students are considered chronically absent when they miss 10% or more of the school year. This includes both excused and unexcused absences.

Classroom Highlights Classroom Highlights

The freshmen are off to a great start in Biology class! Mrs. Jackler's students have been working hard on classifying organisms collected from Madison's campus as part of their taxonomy lab. As it turns out, Madison has a plethora of biodiversity! Students have found various species of plants, fungi, and insects. Some of our more exciting findings include leopard slugs, snakes, a groundhog skull, and other small rodent bones. Students are currently working on constructing taxonomic nature art pieces with their collections.
