Parent/Teacher Conferences
This week we have been meeting with students and parents to review progress, celebrations and support. Thank you to every parent and guardian that has made time in their schedule to participate in this partnership with us, it truly makes a difference for kids!
Classified Appreciation Week!
Classified Appreciation week is March 4-8! Bellview would not be the same without our classified staff! If your child has told you about positive interactions they have had with our Educational Assistants, Student Advocates, Bus Drivers, Custodians, Kitchen Staff, you know how essential they are to our school operations. We are also supported by technology staff and maintenance staff without whom our school would not function! We are so grateful for the care and compassion with which they do their jobs, supporting students, teachers, and families! Be sure to thank a classified staff next week.
YouthTruth Family Survey
Each year, we survey our students in grades 3-12, our staff and our families to gather feedback on how we are doing serving and educating our students. Please take a few minutes to share your experiences with us!
Ashland School DIstrict Health and Attendance Guidelines
Regular school attendance (92% or more) is critical for student success. That being said, if your student is sick, they need to stay home! Here is a reminder of the health guidelines for school attendance.
Please do not send your child to school if any of these conditions exist:
- Your child has a fever above 99 degrees- students must be fever free for 24 hours after all medication has worn off before they may return
- Your child has an uncontrolled cough
- Your child is experiencing new difficulty breathing
- Your child has diarrhea (three loose stools in a day or not able to control bowel movements)
- Your child has vomited- they may not return until 24 hours after vomiting has stopped
- Your child has a skin rash or open sores- if this issue occurs, contact the school nurse
- Your child has red eyes with colored drainage- must have doctor or school nurse clearance to return
If your child is not experiencing any of these symptoms, we want them here every day 😀

Volunteering at School
How To Become a Volunteer:
Step 1:
Complete the Volunteer Registration Form, which includes the Notice of Background Check form.
Once completed, please submit the forms and a copy of your driver’s license to the Office Manager of the school where the volunteer position is needed. Forms may also be mailed or faxed to the school office. If no school is specified, forms may be submitted to 885 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland, OR 97520.
Once you have passed your background check, you are cleared to apply to volunteer for any position throughout the school year. No additional background check is necessary, however, it is necessary to repeat this process each school year.
Step 2:
Mark your calendar with the agreed upon days and times. Please note that certain positions require training and a time commitment. Make sure you can fulfill the volunteer commitments before agreeing to the position.
Be prompt and dependable. Call ahead if you are ill or unable to keep your appointed times. When you commit to volunteering, people are depending on you.
