Principal Update
Trask families,
I hope everyone had a great weekend. We only have 10 more school days until Spring Break! Let's make these 10 count!
- Exciting news! On Monday, our 8th-grade students get permission slips for the 8th grade formal!! Be sure to read through this slip, as specific policies regarding this event exist. Other information, payment, and behavior expectations leading to the event are included.
- Spring Picture Day is scheduled for Thursday, April 3rd, first thing in the morning!
- Be sure to swing by Crazy Mason from 3 to 9 on Wednesday, April 2nd! This year, you can also purchase a Trask Mason jar. 10% of the proceeds will go back to our Trask PTA!
- We have been permitted to adjust the date for the NCCI for Math 1. Instead of taking it this week, our Math 1 students will take it on the 29th with the rest of the school!
- Remember to clear those calendars for STEAM NIGHT NEXT WEEK, April 10th! The event begins at 5:00 and lasts until 6:30. Students must have a parent or guardian with them to attend, but feel free to bring the whole family! This is an excellent event for everyone to enjoy just before spring break!
- Please help us send some love to Ms. Rappold on Friday! It is school librarian day, and we are beyond grateful for everything she does for our bears.
- Calling all singers, comedians, magicians, gymnasts, sports experts, pianists, dancers! Whatever your talent, it's your time to be a STAR at the Trask Talent and Art Show! What you need to do: Come to an audition! Groups or solo - all acts are welcome! Acts MUST be no more than 2.5 minutes! Remember, choose age and school-appropriate songs/performances. Auditions are Tuesday, April 8th - 3.45 pm till 4.30 pm. Parents, please arrive for pick up no later than 4.20 pm. If you can't make it to that date, you can send a video audition to denisi.walker@nhcs.net. Please DO NOT attend the audition unless we have received your form! Choices and Consequences, Family Edition
Date & Time: May 6th; 5:30-7:00 pm at Eaton Elementary School
Audience: Late Elementary School, Early Middle Schoolers and their Trusted Adult
Details: Parents/caregivers and children will learn the facts about alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, marijuana, and other drugs through an interactive game modeled after a popular game show.
Families will work together to learn valuable information about the effects of these substances on the growing brain and body and effective refusal skills to keep youth safe.
Families will engage in interactive activities, videos, and team discussions.
All families will be provided with resources to encourage ongoing prevention, skill-building, and communication.
