Boswell's Family Buzz
March 2026
Message from the Principals
Hello Families,
As we move into March, we want to take a moment to highlight how important consistent attendance is for student success, especially as we approach spring break. Every school day provides valuable learning opportunities, and staying engaged in class helps students build strong routines, stay on pace with instruction, and feel confident in their progress. While we are all looking forward to a well-deserved break, this is also a key time to remain focused and committed to learning so students can finish the month strong and return from spring break ready to continue growing. Thank you for your partnership in supporting regular attendance and a positive, productive learning environment for all students.

#WeAreBoswell Student of the Month Breakfast
Families of students who were nominated for Student of the Month are invited to join us for a special breakfast celebration on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, at 7:10 AM in the Boswell Elementary Nest. This event celebrates our students’ hard work and their outstanding display of LR3 Skills and Dispositions both in and out of the classroom. An invitation was sent home with students on February 20, and we look forward to seeing families as we recognize our exceptional Yellowjackets!

Spring Book Fair
🐾 Something "Paws-itively" Special is Coming!
Get ready, Boswell families! Our Spring Book Fair is almost here, and we’re bringing a fun pet-themed twist to the library. This is a wonderful chance for students to explore books that spark imagination, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of reading.
We invite you to help your child find a story that’s a "purr-fect" match. Not only will they take home a new favorite book, but every purchase directly supports the Boswell Library!
🐶 A Special Guest is Joining the Pack!
We are using this pet-themed fair to gear up for a very special addition to our school family: Boswell is officially getting a therapy dog! While our new four-legged staff member won't arrive until March 23 (just after the fair concludes), the Book Fair is the perfect time to celebrate the upcoming arrival. This is a wonderful chance for students to explore books that spark imagination, build confidence, and foster a lifelong love of reading.
Come celebrate our new furry friend and the joy of reading all in one place. We can't wait to see you there!
You can click on the button below or scan the QR Code to access the Book Fair Webpage. eWallets can be created beginning Thursday, February 5.
March Boswell Student Report
Boswell 4th Grader Amiah Chew interviewed students and staff about spring interests.
What are your spring break plans?
Jaycee Hopper- I am going to Texas. I am getting a cowgirl hat.
Sawyer Smallwood- I am going to hang out with my grandma. We might go to the movies.
Arik Rains-We probably have some but I just don’t know. I will be doing lots of shooting outside, practicing basketball.
Hudson Null- I am going to go to Silver Dollar City with some friends. Time Traveler is my favorite ride.
Mrs. Wade- I am going to clean my house and spend some extra time with my kids.
Mrs. Auberry- I am going to Branson for a few days.
What is your favorite sport? Are you into March Madness?
Jaycee Hopper- I like Volleyball,I love synergy! I don't know anything about March Madness.
Sawyer Smallwood- My favorite sport is basketball, and I'm not sure what March madness is.
Arik Rains- Basketball is my favorite sport. I am into March madness, I want to skip school on my birthday to watch the Championship. I think Duke and Arizona are going to make it far.
Hudson Null-Baketball. Florida is going to win it all in March madness.
Mrs. Wade- I like basketball and volleyball- I'm not full blown into it but I watch it some with my older brothers.
Mrs. Auberry- Basketball. Not so much into March Madness- I like women's college basketball more than men's.

6th Grade Schedules
Spring is such an exciting time at Boswell!
4th graders are continuing to explore future careers, while 5th graders had a great visit with LMS Counselors to learn about 6th-grade courses.
If you are the parent of a current 5th grader, please talk with your child about their schedule for next year, sign it, and return it to Boswell no later than March 5th!
Helping Kids Navigate the Online World Safely
Social media sites and apps are an important part of how we use the internet. Research has shown that most students are divided on whether social media has a positive or negative impact on their lives. Here are some tools and tips on how to protect your children and to help parents monitor and understand their children's online habits for improved safety.

Choices for Every Family
YouTube
Common Sense Media is a free platform that I believe can be beneficial in our constantly changing online world. They also recommend Aura as another resource. Please note that this is a paid subscription service, but a 14-day free trial is available for parents.
We’re glad to share these resources as a support for families. While the school is not responsible for external content, parents and guardians are encouraged to explore and research resources to find what best fits their family’s needs.

School Start and End Times
Keep in mind the start time and end times for Boswell:
Monday-Thursday-- 7:48-3:01
Friday-- 7:48-2:00
**Any transportation changes need to be called in by 2:00 on Monday-Thursdays and by 1:00 on Fridays (Early Dismissial). These changes can be made by calling the Boswell front office at 417-657-6400.
Pickup & Drop Off Information
Pick up and drop off take place in the back of the building. Students may be dropped off as early as 7:10, and picked up at 3:00. Enter the pickup and drop off line from Lenz Ave. Turning in from Millcreek creates backups, stops busses, and cuts off parents who have been waiting. Attached is a picture for reference. If arriving after 3:30, students will need to be picked up in the circle drive.
We do anticipate a bit more traffic on the first few days, but still should be a relativly quick process.
