{NEW} FROM REAGAN
Once again, in honor of our Veterans and Troops currently serving, and in conjunction with our Reagan Gives Back, we will have activities that we do as a building to honor Veterans Day.
1. Honor Flight Fundraiser: The cost to send one Veteran on an Honor Flight is more than $600. Students should return the slip of paper with their donation and give it to their teacher. Make checks payable to: Stars and Stripes Honor Flight. Attached below is the referenced form. Donation collection will end on Friday, November 13th.
2. Honor Wall: Students can bring photos of Veterans they would like to honor, along with the form they fill out to go with their photo. Please paperclip the form to the photo(s) and return it to your classroom teacher. Please send copies of your photos, not originals, as photos may not be returned. This form is on the same page as the donation form attached below.
3. Write letters to a Veteran: Students can write letters to a Veteran who will be attending an Honor Flight for the "Mail Call" on their return flight.
4. Veterans Day: Wednesday, November 11th will be Patriotic/Red, White, and Blue Day. Each student will receive a flag and place it outside in front of the school.
FAMILY TO PE week is November 16-20!
We invite you to sign up to attend PE class with your student(s) to either participate with them or just observe what PE class is like. Family members are welcome to attend 1 class with their child during their regularly scheduled PE class. If you have multiple children at Reagan, you may attend with each of them 1 time. We will be starting our Basketball unit so you can expect to learn and practice different basketball skills like dribbling, shooting, and passing that are differentiated for students of all learning levels.
If you are interested in attending, please click on the link below, find your child’s homeroom teacher and time of class, and sign up so we know how many to expect. You will be required to put your name, email address, and tell us your child’s first/last name. Keep in mind that this invitation is for PE only and if you want to observe other classes you need to set that up with those specific teachers. We also ask that you refrain from bringing other children with you at this time for learning and safety purposes.
Bring Your Family to PE Sign-Up!
On the day you attend PE, please arrive a few minutes early to check into the office (you will need a valid ID for the RAPTOR program if you have not had it scanned at the front office) and, if participating, come dressed for the fun learning activities we have planned. Please bring your camera or smartphone with you for a commemorative photo opportunity at the end of class.
Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to seeing some of you in a couple weeks!
Thanks,
Katie Mulloy

REPEAT FOR REAGAN {BUT STILL IMPORTANT!}
Smart Watches
We have seen an increase in students (even as young as kindergarten) using SMART watches during the school day. This can look like families texting their students, students playing games, etc. As you can imagine, this is very distracting to the school day and to the student learning.
Please know, we ask that any SMART watch be set to "school mode" during the school day. If a student has repeated incidents with their SMART watch, we will send it home, and ask that it not be brought back to school. We also ask that families NOT text their students throughout the day. If you need to get your student a message, please call the office (262.789.6550) and/or email their homeroom teacher, and we will ensure they receive it.
If your student is not feeling well, and texts you, please ask them to notify their teacher and they will be sent to the health room.
Thank you for your support in this. Any questions can be directed to Mrs. Patterson (angela.patterson@nbexcellence.org).

FROM THE DISTRICT
Supporting Healthy Digital Citizenship Habits
As children age they tend to become more independent online—moving from simple learning apps to gaming platforms, video streaming, and early search engines. Common Sense Media offers practical tips to help establish healthy digital habits at home during these critical years: Set Clear Device Boundaries: Establish screen-free times and areas at home, especially during meals and before bedtime, to promote healthy sleep and focus. Co-Play and Explore Together: Engage with what your child is watching or playing—ask them about their favorite Roblox games or YouTube channels to keep communication open. Use Age-Appropriate Content Controls: Set parental controls and privacy settings on devices, YouTube Kids, and gaming platforms to filter out mature content and turn off open chat features. Focus on Quality Over Screen Time: Balance entertainment with educational apps, creative tools, and physical active play.
