Hold on tight because we're about to explore how populations of plants, animals, and even humans rise and fall like a roller coaster. What's on the agenda? Demystifying the numbers: We'll be diving into the fascinating world of birth and death rates, carrying capacity, and how factors like resources and competition impact population growth. Get ready to crunch some numbers and see how math becomes vital in understanding the natural world. Humanity in the spotlight: This is where things get real. We'll examine the ever-growing human population, analyzing its impact on the environment and exploring diverse perspectives on sustainability. This is your chance to think critically and discuss potential solutions! Test your eco-knowledge: Buckle up, because next week's a big one! We'll be putting population dynamics knowledge to the test with a comprehensive exam. Don't worry, though – we're confident our students will ace it after this week's deep dive.

Digital Learning Day Digital Learning Day

Ms. LeFebvre's classes participated in the 2024 Digital Learning Day. The day celebrates the use of digital technology in learning, and in particular, highlights innovative and forward-thinking use of technology for learning in the classroom. Ms. Lefebvre's students explored Google's Applied Digital Skills activities and created logos that expressed their identity. We love learning more about our students.

Mr. Blum's classes have taken on the role of a foreign investor and researched countries where they may like to invest their hard earned money. Students had to consider the natural resources of the country, the current economic and political landscape as well as the potential risks to their investment. Once a country was chosen, students had to consider what business they would like to establish in the country, and why they felt now would be a good time to branch out. Other research was given to how long before they would see a return on their investment as well as whether or not they believe the country to be attractive to foreign investors.
