March 2025

Hello, March!
We have so much planned for March and April and can't wait to share it all with you.
Storytelling Beyond the Page: An Evening with Julia Whelan
Did you guess the answer?! It's Julia Whelan!!
All of these books are narrated by the one and only, Julia Whelan, dubbed the Adele of audiobooks by The New Yorker. Whelan is also the author of two of the titles featured in this video, Thank You For Listening and My Oxford Year plus a third title that was recently released, Casanova, LLC. She is the winner of multiple Audie Awards and Audio File Awards, and she is a Grammy nominee. Whelan has narrated over 600 books, including Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn, all of Taylor Jenkins Reid's books, Emily Henry's books, and Kristen Hannah's books, and nonfiction books as well, including Educated by Tara Westover. Netflix just wrapped filming for one of her novels, My Oxford Year, starring Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest.
We are thrilled to announce that we're bringing Julia Whelan here, to Hendricks County! This special event will take place on Saturday, April 26, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Tri-West High School auditorium. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to experience Julia Whelan’s talent firsthand during a live reading, a Q&A session, and book signing.
This event is free to attend, but tickets are required for entry. Registration will open on Friday, February 28 at dplindiana.org/events. This event is open to all; no library card is required, and residents from across Hendricks County and beyond are welcome.
