"Unsung Hero" Nominations

At Bellevue Community Schools, we believe that it takes a village, OUR VILLAGE, to create a positive, supportive, and thriving learning environment. Our Unsung Hero recognition celebrates the individuals who quietly go above and beyond—often without seeking attention or praise. These heroes can be parents, students, staff members, community partners, or any individual who helps make BCS a great place to learn, achieve, and succeed. We invite you to nominate someone whose dedication, kindness, and commitment make a meaningful impact on our school community.

~Please consider completing the SIMPLE 3 question Unsung Hero survey to nominate someone special.

Hello Bellevue Staff and Families,

What a week! Even though the weather had other plans and shortened our time together, the flexibility and commitment across our district were on full display.

To our staff, thank you for rolling with the changes, supporting students, and staying focused on what matters most, even when schedules get turned upside down. Your ability to adapt doesn’t go unnoticed.

To our families, thank you for your patience and understanding during the cancellations. We know changes like these can be disruptive, and we truly appreciate your partnership and support.

Even in a short week, there was a lot to be proud of in Bellevue. As we look ahead, we’re hopeful for calmer weather and a return to routine, but no matter what comes our way, I’m confident in the strength of this school community.

Enjoy the weekend, stay safe, and thank you for all you do for our students.

This week's Tiered Tidbits is a celebration regarding all the success we are seeing in EWIMS. It is a system used in schools to identify students who may be at risk of dropping out by monitoring key indicators (attendance, behavior, and course performance) and then providing timely, targeted interventions and ongoing progress monitoring.

This will help to make decision rules for interventions for entrance and exit criteria, as well as fading, intensifying, and monitoring by using data informed decisions for individual students to ensure their success.
