Drop-Off & Pick-Up Lane Reminders – Let's Keep Things Safe & Moving!
We love how much you love your kids — and we want to keep everyone safe, calm, and on time! Here are a few reminders to help our arrival and dismissal run smoothly:
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Lane Guidelines:
Stay in your vehicle in the drive through line – staff are there to help your child in and out safely.
Try putting car seats on the passenger side
Pull all the way forward – even if your child isn't there yet (pick up). It helps the whole line move.
Save the long goodbyes for home – quick hugs and waves help keep traffic flowing.
Backpacks and goodbyes should be ready to go before you enter the lane.
Drive slowly, and be aware – safety is our top priority.
Use the designated lane only – please do not drop off children alone in the lot.
Using available parking spaces if you would like to walk with your child to playground
We know it’s hard to let go—especially with our sweet kindergarteners and those growing-up-way-too-fast older kids. But quick, confident drop-offs set them up for a strong start to the day!
Thanks for partnering with us to make arrival and dismissal safe, efficient, and full of Tiger pride!
***PLEASE SEE THE MAP BELOW FOR GUIDANCE ON WHERE TO ENTER, EXIT AND PARK.

Supporting Strong School Attendance: A Guide for Families
Consistent school attendance supports students’ academic performance, social development, and future success. We understand that illness, emergencies, and family challenges happen. If you need support, please reach out.
Every day matters - because when You’re Here Today, You’re Ready for Tomorrow!

Attendance Line
*Carrie Martin Elementary Attendance Line: 970-613-5790
A student is considered Tardy if they arrive any time after 8:05am (9:05am on Wednesdays). To excuse a Tardy or Absence, call the ATTENDANCE LINE and leave a detailed message. To excuse a medical appointment, please provide a doctor's note.
TSD Cell Phone and Personal Technology Device Policy
Thompson School District’s cell phone and personal technology device policy is designed to foster a supportive educational environment with fewer distractions for students. In general, once students enter a school building, their personal technology devices—including cell phones, smartwatches, tablets, laptops, cameras, and similar devices—must be put away and inaccessible unless a specific exception applies. Students at every grade level may only use personal devices when a teacher specifically authorizes them for instructional purposes or when required by an IEP, Section 504 Plan, medical need or emergency.
Elementary Schools
Students are generally not allowed to use personal devices at any point during the school day while on campus, including before school, passing periods, lunch, and after school.
Through this policy, district students will engage in an environment that is best suited to maximize learning and support. Benefits include:
- Improved student learning and academic performance
- A safer, more focused learning environment
- Improved student well-being and social interaction

SCHOOL MEALS
As a reminder, school meals are free for students this 2026/27 school year! We encourage everyone to complete a Free & Reduced application as it provides benefits to you and the district such as grants, program funding and fee waivers.
