We have created and deployed a student support team to be accessible and responsive
to all students and parents who may benefit from increased social/emotional support as
they process the news of a former substitute teacher’s arrest. It is our responsibility to
be available to meet our students needs when they arise to help ensure their
social/emotional well-being. I am grateful to this team of professionals and confident their
expertise, patience, and compassion will provide the safety net that some students and
parents may need.
In order to keep this type of social/emotional support as confidential as possible, please
contact your site administrator to make arrangements to meet with the Student Support
Team. You can also contact the Student Support Team directly by calling (760)
726-2170, extension 92180. As always, the District has made available the Psst World
Report hotline option for any secure, anonymous, concern or request for support. This report would be forwarded to District personnel and can be used for additional safety
concerns a parent or student may have.
Thank you for assisting us to keep this matter as confidential as possible to protect student privacy.
