Dear NBC Parents,
Fall Conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 14th from 4:30-7:30p.m. and Thursday, October 15th from 12:00-3:00p.m. and 4:00-7:00p.m.
To help reduce wait times and make the evening run smoothly, conferences will once again be scheduled in advance. You’ll be able to select the teachers you’d like to meet with and choose a time that works best for your schedule.
To sign up, please visit:
https://www.ptcfast.com/schools/Montague_Area_Public_Schools
Once on the site, you’ll select the teachers you’d like to see, and the system will provide available time slots for each. After scheduling, you’ll receive a confirmation listing all of your conference times for your records.
If none of the available times work for you, please feel free to contact the teacher directly to arrange a phone or email conference. We’ve used this scheduling system for the past few years and have found it to be quick and easy for families.
If you need assistance at any point, please call the office at 231-894-5617, and we’ll be happy to help.
We look forward to connecting with you and talking about your child’s progress!

What Can Parents Do?
Help Your Teen Stay Engaged in School
- Find out what your student is learning in class and discuss it with them.
- Make sure your teen is not missing class because of a challenge.
- Monitor your child's academic progress and seek help from teachers or tutors when necessary.
- Stay on top of your child's social contacts. Peer pressure or conflict can lead to school absences.
- Encourage your child to join after-school sports and/or clubs.
Cell Phone Policy
The cell phone policy at NBC states that phones are left in the student's locker and turned off between the hours of 7:25 am - 2:45 pm.
Students are required to use the office phone if they need to contact parents. If your student doesn't know how to contact you, the office staff will happily look your number up in PowerSchool.
