Academy Announcements

Dear Academy Families and Friends,

The month of December is short one indeed. Due to the calendar, there only two weeks of school before the holiday break. The 12 days of December kicked off last Thursday, with 10 more days of fun ahead. We also have some special events between now and the break so please make sure to save the dates. Blink and you're bound to miss something:

Tomorrow is the WInter Workshop! This is a wonderful Academy tradition where kids can shop for items for loved ones for the holidays!. Thanks to the AAPC and all of the volunteers that help make is event possible for our students!
Tuesday is a half day of school with dismissal promptly at 11:50AM for Staff Development. Please make plans accordingly.
Thank you to all the families that came out to support the Dining for $$$ event at the Chateau. Every little bit helps!
The Coats for Kids Drive is on now through January 3.
The Mitten Tree is coming, please help us fill it's branches by donating new hats, gloves and mittens for those in need. Donations can be dropped off to the lobby!
This past week we saw the first signs of snowfall and that cold winter air is definitely on its way. Remember that on most occasions, recess will be outside.
Last but not least, with the cold weather, we see an influx of families use the top lot to get their kids to school. Please remember that all families need to wait for the signal from the staff before unloading. Also please remember to respect the parking signs for the lower campus circle (buses only) and our neighboring streets.

Thank you again for all your support! Let's make these next two weeks a wonderful start to winter!

Mr. Higgins

Attendance Counts!

As report cards will be published soon, please pay special attention to the number of absences your child has. It's that time of year where days missed can really add up. As always, please remember to call the hotline any time your child is going to be out.
