Greetings

We have two four day weeks coming up!

This upcoming week, Friday April 15 will be No School for students and staff.

The following Monday, April 18 will be a Workday No and School for students.

Since returning from Spring Break-we have just 2 months of school!

This gives us a wonderful amount of time to practice skills and routines as your child(ren) get ready to enter Kindergarten!

Reminder-Kindergarten Enrollment is still Open! You are expected to enroll at your district Kindergarten (and if interested in applying to some of our district choice schools or year-round schools, that can be done after completing the online district enrollment)

Your child(ren) will be bringing home 2 books to keep this week!

First Book donated 2 books for every student in our school.

Please be sure to ask them to identify letters, practice sounds and even make predictions of what may take place in the story by looking at story illustrations. Enjoy!

This month, we will have a STREAM (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts & Math) family event on Thursday April 28 from 4-5pm. This will be a wonderful time for you and your child(ren) to build, explore and create!

Transportation

*If you are in need of bus transportation and your child is not currently scheduled with a stop and time. Please contact the front office.

*Please reach out to your child(ren)'s teacher if you are in need of a car pass to continue to help our PM carline run smoothly.

*Please know that we will continue to require written change of transportation for students. We cannot accept transportation changes by phone for safety purposes.

Attendance

Thank you for working so hard with us to have your child at school before 7:45am and for keeping them in school until dismissal at 1:45pm.

There will always be the occasional appointment-but the benefit to your child keeping this routine allows them to stay involved and connected with all learning all activities that will take place in their classrooms from the morning late bell at 7:45am until the afternoon dismissal bell at 1:45pm.

*We will begin to have fun-monthly raffles for family prizes in relation to student attendance! As stated earlier, 5 months will go quickly! We will utilize every moment your child is in school with us to keep their learning strong! Thank you for your dedication and collaboration with this important aspect of school!

Volunteers/Adult Visits on Campus

Families-as we get acclimated to this school year and the needs of our staff and students, we hope to have volunteers and visits on campus. Thank you for being patient with us as we focus our attention on the needs of the children first as they transition to our building and staff.

As you know, we will only share information with you as your child's guardian/parent-please share with grandparents and/or other loved ones of your child that we appreciate them greatly-but that we will not have visits on campus just yet.

The below link is the NHCS Volunteer Training Level 1 and the form linked is a mini quiz to show evidence that you have reviewed this mandatory material before volunteering on campus with us when we do start having more adults on campus with us.
