sbEarth Beach Clean Up Success
Twenty-eight students participated in a day of service in Asbury Park as part of our annual Beach Sweeps field trip. With the support of our chaperone, Ms. Slovak, sbEarth members dedicated three hours to removing debris and litter from the shoreline, contributing to the protection of marine life and the preservation of one of New Jersey’s most cherished beaches.
Under the guidance of our advisor, Ms. Mathe, and the Clean Ocean Action team, students gained valuable insight into the environmental impact of ocean debris, the importance of marine ecosystems, and our collective responsibility to maintain the health of our oceans.
Following a productive morning of service, students enjoyed time on the beach, reflecting on the beauty of the ocean and the importance of continued environmental stewardship.
