It feels like we're really starting to get into the dark season with the end of Daylight Savings and the start of the rainy weeks but being a part of the Woodstock Community brings such joy even as the sun gets obscured by rain clouds for days on end.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the No Stuff Fundraiser so far. Halfway to our $15,000 goal is a big achievement! We understand that so many things seem uncertain right now and really appreciate any contributions our families can share with the community.

There are a couple of important events coming up this week! Attend the Zoom PTA Board Meeting and Leadership Vote on Wednesday, November 5 at 7pm. Join the PTA today and vote in the election. To celebrate the end of the week, come out with friends and enjoy a Movie Night in the cafeteria this Friday. We'll be showing A Minecraft Movie and serving up treats for sale. Please see below for additional info on these events and ones just on the horizon.

For the first movie night of the year we’re firing up the big screen for A Minecraft Movie—a pixel-packed adventure full of teamwork, imagination, and cube-powered fun. Bring your blankets, grab your crew, and settle in for a cozy night with the Woodstock community.

Minecraft-approved snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.

*Parent supervision required—no drop-offs please. Thanks for helping us keep things safe and fun!

Join the Mandarin Immersion Program community at the Shu Ren Gala on Friday, November 14!

Enjoy an evening of fun and festivities including an eight-course, family-style Chinese dinner and drinks (includes vegetarian options) all while supporting the MIP at Woodstock, Harrison Park, and Cleveland.

The live and silent auction features vacation destinations, local goodies, and special experiences. With the holidays just around the corner, you'll have the chance to bid on a bunch of great gifts. Let's celebrate and learn about Ruby Bridges with a StoryWalk featuring the book I Am Ruby Bridges. A StoryWalk is a fun, educational, and interactive way for children (and readers of all ages) to enjoy reading a story outside. The Ruby Bridges StoryWalk is currently displayed on the fence around Woodstock's playground and soccer field. Stop by to read the book and help celebrate Ruby Bridges Walk and Roll to School Day next week on Friday, November 14.

It’s not time for blasting Mariah Carey yet (or is it)? Either way, it's definitely time to order your holiday poinsettias, wreaths, and garlands! The garden committee is selling locally-grown holiday plants to help the school garden program expand. Sale is on now through November 16 and plants will be available for pick up at the school on December 5.

Grab your mat and a water bottle, and step away from your daily demands to unwind with a 60-minute, all-levels yoga session. This session is exclusively for Woodstock teachers and parents on Monday, November 17, from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM in the school Cafeteria.

Areej, a certified trauma-informed SAH Method Coach and RYT 200 and she'll be providing bolsters and yoga blocks for the session.
