Week at a Glance-This Upcoming Week
Announcements 🪧
A Wonderful Week at Bobier Elementary!
What a wonderful and busy week at Bobier Elementary! Thank you to all of our Bronco families for continuing to be such an important part of our school community.
Indoor Recess for Hot Weather
As warm weather continues, student safety and comfort remain our top priority. On days when temperatures or the heat index reach elevated levels, we move outdoor recess inside to our air-conditioned spaces with fun, quiet activities.
SMP Neighborhood Walk
Thank you to all of the parents who attended our SMP Neighborhood Walk on Thursday. Families had the opportunity to share their concerns, ideas, and suggestions with representatives from the City of Vista and the VCC.
We also want to share information about an upcoming community meeting regarding the W. Bobier Complete Streets Project. The City of Vista received grant funding from SANDAG for this project, which will construct traffic-calming improvements and pedestrian and bicycle facilities along W. Bobier Drive, from Marabou Lane to N. Santa Fe Avenue.
The project includes two roundabouts, pedestrian crossings, new sidewalks, accessible pedestrian ramps, street lighting, updated signing and striping, and raised medians.
The City held its first community meeting for this project in January 2024, prior to submitting its grant application. Now that construction funding has been secured and project design is underway, the City is holding another community meeting to share the project design with residents.
W. Bobier Complete Streets Community Meeting
📅 Thursday, October 15, 2026
🕕 6:00 PM
📍 Bobier Elementary School
220 W. Bobier Drive, Vista, CA
This is a public meeting and all community members are welcome to attend. We encourage our Bronco families to participate and share their thoughts and feedback.
🚗 School Traffic Safety Reminder
A friendly reminder that vehicles may only make right-hand turns into and out of both the upper and lower school driveways. Please plan your route to school accordingly so that you are able to make a right-hand turn when entering and exiting campus.
Thank you for helping us keep traffic moving safely and efficiently for all of our Bobier Broncos!
A Special Visit from Assemblymember Laurie Davis
We were honored to welcome Assemblymember Laurie Davis to Bobier Elementary on Thursday. She presented our school with a Certificate of Recognition from the California Legislature. We are grateful for the recognition and for the opportunity to welcome Assemblymember Davis to our school community!
Friday Flag
A special thank-you to Ms. Villarreal’s 3rd Grade Class for leading our Friday Flag this week! We appreciate all of the preparation and enthusiasm that went into making Friday Flag such a special part of our week.
Math Transformations Family Math Workshop
Thank you to all of the parents and family members who attended our Math Transformations Family Math Workshop after Friday Flag. You asked, and we provided! It was wonderful to see so many families interested in learning how to support their children at home with important math concepts.
We will be hosting a second Family Math Workshop next Friday specifically for families with students in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade.
Please plan to join us for Friday Flag at 8:00 AM and stay for the workshop immediately following Friday Flag. We look forward to learning and growing together as a school community!

Bobier Rocks Attendance!!
We have been celebrating attendance all month at Bobier Elementary. We have had four classes earn the "Perfect Attendance Spelling Challenge”this month so far and the month is not over yet. Mrs. Karoub’s Class has reached this challenge recently.
We also want to thank all the parents and students for supporting our Attendance Super H.E.R.O day that occurred earlier this month. So many students came prepared to show their inner “Super H.E.R.O”
We have had two more classes earn the "Perfect Attendance Spelling Challenge”this week. Mrs. Clement, Ms. Rotta and Ms. Rachel’s Class have reached this challenge.
We will continue to celebrate attendance during the school year.
