Christ, Be Our Light: St. Patrick School Advent Service Project
Too often in today’s society, we focus on what we hope to receive during the season of Advent. Yet God calls us to care for the disadvantaged, to open our hearts to others, and to shine His light through acts of compassion. Today, this call is more important than ever as many in our community face real hardships and rely on the generosity of others.
This year at St. Patrick School, we are embracing that call by embarking on a special Advent service project. Guided by our school-wide theme, “Christ, Be Our Light,” our students will participate in a Reverse Advent Calendar.
Unlike a traditional calendar where small gifts are received each day, a Reverse Advent Calendar invites participants to give each day. Students and families add one donation item daily, and at the end of Advent the collection is delivered to a local organization to support those in need. These items, ranging from hygiene products to food staples, provide essential support to individuals and families facing difficult circumstances.
All donated items from our school community will be given to Matthew 25 at St. Patrick Church. Together, we hope to collect 400 items by December 18.
Donation Schedule
Students may bring donations on the following days in December to their homeroom teacher:
December 1: Men’s & women’s deodorant
December 2: Full-size shampoo
December 3: Full-size conditioner
December 4: Body wash
December 5: Body lotion
December 8: Bar soap
December 9: Baby wipes
December 10: Dish soap
December 11: Laundry detergent
December 12: Chapstick
December 15: Razors & shaving cream
December 16: Canned fruit
December 17: Canned vegetables
December 18: Can openers
December 19: Canned beans
All donation boxes will be located outside Mr. Wieber’s office for easy drop-off.
As we move through this holy season, may our students and families experience the joy that comes from giving and may Christ’s light shine brightly through every act of kindness. Thank you for supporting our mission to serve others this Advent.
Blessings,
Mr. Wiebers

St Nick's Shop
Mark your calendars for our annual St. Nick's Shop hosted by our CPTO! This year's event will take place December 8th through the 11th. Students in grades preschool- grade 8 are invited to shop for Christmas gifts for their family and friends. All gifts are $3.00 each, and shopping will be during approved school hours. Flyers with further instructions will be sent home the week before shopping begins.
We are in need of adult volunteers to make this event successful. Help is needed for set up, tear down, assisting children with shopping, ringing up gifts at the shop and wrapping the purchased gifts. If you are willing to share your time and talents for this CPTO event, please sign up on the Volunteer Sign-up on our website, or reach out to either one of the co-chairs for more information! EZSchoolPay
This system is used as a family account, therefore you only need the information for one student per family when registering, and payments need to be made for one family member to be shared with siblings. Multiple lunch and Circle of Care payments are not necessary, as these are family accounts.
November invoices have the website and student number necessary for creating an account.
We will no longer utilize Revtrak. If you have their site bookmarked, please update to the EZSchoolPay site.
