National Native American Heritage Month National Native American Heritage Month

open_in_new zoom_out_map
This month is National Native American Heritage Month, a time to honor Indigenous Peoples, their histories, and advocate for solutions for the struggles they still face today. The U.S. is home to 579 federally recognized sovereign tribal nations. We honor the rich heritage and diverse cultures and traditions of all Native American and indigenous communities and their integral importance to our past, present and future.

Thank you for serving our country and protecting our freedoms. Veterans Day National Committee recognizes select Veterans Day observances throughout the country that represent fitting tributes to America’s heroes and serve as models for other communities to follow in planning their own observances.

"She was so many things. A wife, a mother,a sister, an Aunt, an amazing friend to so many and a fantastic teacher. Lori always made you feel welcomed. She was great at listening to others. She had the best advice for any situation. She will forever be in our hearts and thoughts".

- Donna Anderson

November is a month of empowerment, education, and inspiration for communities far and wide who have been touched by pancreatic cancer. It is our opportunity to shine a light on this disease, to elevate our voices to raise awareness and to invite others to join us on the journey towards a cure.

Dear Families, Students, and Staff,

As we continue to navigate the school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible power of unity and collaboration within our staff & community. Your consistent presence in and out of the classrooms plays a vital role in establishing routines and rituals that positively impact our students’ daily experiences. It is through our collective efforts that we create an environment where every student can thrive. I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude for your support of our recent initiative for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness. Coming together for such a meaningful cause honors the legacy of our beloved teacher, Lori McCambley. Her unwavering dedication to our school community exemplifies what it truly means to be “all in.” As we approach Veterans Day on November 11, let us take a moment to honor and thank all those who have served our country through the armed forces. Their sacrifices allow us to enjoy the freedoms we have today.

Thank you once again for your hard work, commitment, and support. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of our students and honoring the values that bind us as a community.

Warm regards,

Principal DeFazio

7th & 8th Grade Wrestling

Hello Schenectady Students,

Below is an interest form for the 24-25 Schenectady Wrestling Team. This is for Boys and Girls as we have a team for each here at Schenectady.

This is strictly an interest form and doesn't sign you up for the sport but it lets Coach Languish and Coach Colvin know that you are at least interested in potentially trying wrestling. I do encourage kids to consider trying this great sport of wrestling as it will challenge you in many ways and make you a great overall athlete as well as person.

If you have any questions you can email
