Kindergarten Registration:

Under new state law, children must be 5 years old as of the first day of school to be eligible for Kindergarten. Centerburg starts on August 19, 2026 for the upcoming year. This is a change from previous years.

The office is accepting pre-registration now for our Kindergarten Registration days of April 7-8. Please call 740-625-6488 to schedule and you will be given a day and time for registration.

Nerf Night is this Friday!! We are in desperate need for a few volunteers to help us with registration at the beginning of the event. The time commitment would be 6:15-7pm. Duties include checking in guests, giving instructions, and collecting money from walk-ins. This is a perfect opportunity to come and share the excitement of Nerf Night with our students!

The PBIS Committee has been working hard to update our PBIS system. Our main focus right now is to re teach our expectations across the school and to hold students accountable for behavioral expectations. Our goal as a staff is to become more consistent across the school.

Each week for the rest of the year we will be reviewing an expectation for us all to work on.

Dear Kindergarten & 1st Grade Families,

Starting Monday, March 2nd, we will be incorporating biking activities into our Physical Education classes as part of the All Kids Bike program. To help keep all students safe, please send your child to school with their bike helmet on their designated gym day if they would like to use their own. If they forget or do not have a helmet, one will be provided for them at school.

Please remember to complete and return the All Kids Bike family survey by Wednesday, February 25th.

Students enjoyed the celebrating the 100th day of school doing activities with 100 items.

The COJFD brought Sparky and treats for all of the third grade students.

Mr. Lunder partnered with the HS Spanish Teacher, Ms. Robberts, for the Spanish 3 students to come share their books they made. The Spanish 3 students wrote and illustrated books with their verb conjugations they have been practicing in class and read them to the third graders.

These students met their AR goal to join the Dessert Club.

The third graders did their annual field trip to the Orchestra organized by Mrs. Teschler. In Music class the students have been learning about all of the instruments and the sounds they make.
