JR LEADERS JR LEADERS

Leadership Opportunity for Junior Leaders!

The Marshall County Junior Leaders is a great club that gives youth an opportunity to Level Up their leadership skills. In an effort to reach all youth who are interested in a leadership position with the Junior Leaders, an Officer Interest Form has been created. ALL Junior Leader age youth can fill out the form to identify the position(s) they are interested in holding for the 2026-27 4-H Year. The deadline to complete the Interest Form is Sunday, October 25.

FAQ

Why an Interest Form? Aren't officers usually nominated at a meeting?

  • YES! Officers are typically nominated at a meeting BUT with the busy schedules of all our members and the distance required by some to attend meetings, we wanted to try gathering interest in a different way to make sure EVERYONE who is willing to serve could be considered.

Can I fill out the form for someone I think would be a good officer?

  • NO. Just like it is difficult to nominate someone for an office if they are not present to accept the nomination, do not fill out the form for another member. PLEASE encourage a fellow junior leader to share their interest but only fill out the form for yourself.

When will junior leaders vote for their Officer Team?

  • The vote will take place by using a ballot that includes the names of all members interested in the officer positions. A timeline and format will be set following recognition.

What is the time commitment for a Junior Leader Officer?

  • Next Level leadership does require a time commitment. Being present at regularly scheduled meetings in person or via zoom, assisting with junior leader activities and fundraisers, communicating with members to ensure tasks for activities and fundraisers are completed on time, and mentoring 4-Hers and youth at club meetings, Youth In Action events and Achievement Days.
