A Note from the Principal
Day 141/180
From a school’s perspective, vacations always seem to come at just the right time. Since February break, students and staff have been going nonstop with academics, events, and activities, and this upcoming week will provide a well deserved opportunity to recharge before the final stretch of the year.
The annual Talent Show is always a highlight, and last night was no exception. Coordinated and hosted entirely by our Elementary Student Council with Mrs. Rajan's support and guidance, the show is truly a student-run production. From collecting money at the door, running lights and sound, organizing and preparing the acts, hosting, and judging, the students do it all. It is a tremendous undertaking that requires hours of preparation, and their hard work was evident from start to finish. In return, the funds raised will go directly back to supporting student experiences here at the Jacobs, with Student Council helping guide how those funds are used. Most importantly, the performers had the chance to take the stage, showcase their talents, and enjoy a moment in the spotlight. It is not easy to get up there, and I could not have been more proud of every student who participated. You'll find photos and even some videos here.
When we return from break, we will continue what is quickly becoming a great tradition with our second annual Career Day Assembly. A variety of professionals from different fields will be joining us to share their experiences and hopefully inspire our students as they begin thinking about their own futures. Career Day will take place on Friday, May 1, and we encourage all elementary students to dress as a professional they aspire to become. It is always a fun day and a great way for students to start connecting their interests to future possibilities.
I hope you all enjoy a safe, relaxing, and fun filled Spring Break. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for a strong finish to the year.
