Message for the Week:
Message from Mr. Tejkl
Life is full of adversity; how you respond to it, defines our character...
Good morning!
Welcome to another wonderful start to the week and I hope your weekend is going great! There were many great activities going on and I hope you are able to get out and support when you can. We had a few wrap up this week with district play and I couldn't be more proud of our effort from all of our student athletes. Beyond that, I am proud of all of our students, all ages, whom have many different backgrounds that involve work, babysitting, etc. The balance of school and life can be crazy but just know we see you and all the effort you put in!
Throughout life, adversity is going to hit. It is inevitable. Adversity can stop us in its track if we allow it too. The unfortunate part with adversity is that it can have us look around and try to blame others for what happens that doesn't go our way. We also could look at a higher power and wonder "why me?" That being said, how can we react? What can we do when adversity is staring us in the face? Stare back and smile. We control our actions which determines how our life's story will play out. Blaming others may make us feel good for a second but in the end, it doesn't solve the problem in front of us. If we resort to blaming others, how does that make them feel?
Life is tough. It is unfair. It can be just. The question comes down to how do we want to move through life? Take ownership and continue to fight for what we want or do you blame others and shut down? Choice is yours; do or do not, there is no try.
Have a great rest of your Sunday and I will see you tomorrow!
Quote of the week to reflect on:
"It is your reaction to adversity, not the adversity itself, that determines how your life's story will develop."
Dieter F. Uchtdorf
Sincerely,
Tucker Tejkl
