Dear Defender Families,

iPad insurance is still available for families to purchase. Please see Ms. Sue in the library to purchase insurance for the device.

Be sure to read the letter from Mr. Sousa regarding the end of the school year linked here as well as attached below.

7th graders who plan to attend the Mulligan's trip and meet eligibility requirements, see the flyer below for information.

DMS 2025/26 Yearbooks are on sale. Secure one before they sell out. Use the link here or see the flyer with more details and link below.

6th Graders - Please see the Immunization Information Requirements for 7th Graders for the 2026/27 school year.

Be sure to complete the Annual Family Update that all returning students must complete yearly.

If you cleaned out the closets over the break or have clothes to donate, please bring them to the school. From April 6th through May 15th, Scholar Squad will be sponsoring a fundraiser where you can donate clothes, shoes, sweats, and more! The clothes that are donated will be sent to help families who are in need and will be used to support our school. You can donate before school at the drop off zone, or after school in the office. Make sure that it is sealed in a bag, preferably in a trash bag. So that your donation doesn’t get lost.

April 14th, we will have an Earthquake and Fire Drill.

Please complete the Annual Family Update for returning students!!!

It is now time to complete your Annual Family Update in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

This update is REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS RETURNING TO TVUSD FOR THE 26/27 SCHOOL YEAR.

Any student who does not have a completed Annual Update:

may not be enrolled in a class for the 26/27 school year

may not receive a schedule

and may not be able to participate in school business days in August.

It is imperative that all families complete the Annual Family Update as soon as possible to prevent any delay in your child's enrollment for the next school year.

Please note, this process is for RETURNING STUDENTS ONLY. If you have a child in your family who will be new to TVUSD for the 26/27 school year, you must complete the New Student Enrollment process. Click HERE for New Student Enrollment instructions.

TVUSD Safe Riders Registration

If you have a student who is riding a bike/scooter/ebike/escooter to school, they need to complete the Safe Riders Course.

8th Grade ELA - Mr. Hobart

Students participate in close reading, annotating, and completing comprehension questions for a passage.

7th Grade Math - Accelerated Math

Students using the Amplify Curriculum to demonstrate their knowledge of probability.

6th Grade Dance - Ms. Fernandez

Students practicing a choreographed routine.

7th and 8th Grade PE - Barr and Tegman
