Tellonym is not a new app, but one that has surfaced recently as a problem at Onahan. It is an anonymous messaging and social networking app, designed for users to receive "Tells" (messages) from friends and strangers without revealing the sender's identity. Often integrated with Instagram or Snapchat, it allows users to share a custom link to receive honest feedback, questions, or comments on their profile. Today, Local School Council member Sara Heiderscheidt, was selected by lottery to talk to the Chicago Board of Education about the Onahan field. It was impactful because she had all of their attention at once.
