Hi Caverly Families!
We have had so much fun exploring “Holidays Around the World”! So far, we have learned about Diwali, Ramadan, Hanukkah, and Las Posadas. Next week, we will learn about Saint Lucia, Kwanzaa, and Christmas! We have also been familiarizing ourselves with the classic tale of The Gingerbread Man. Students have become experts at reciting this classic tale, they can even identify several similarities and differences when comparing it to the tale of the Gingerbread Girl.
On December 18th and 19th we will celebrate our learning by wearing our PJ’s to school and having a cookie party! Thank you for filling up all the slots on our list, we are looking forward to our celebration days! Here is that list in case you need a reminder of what you’ve signed up to bring!
Our last day of school for the year 2025 will be on December 19th. Students will return to school on January 5th, 2026. I hope you all have a happy and healthy winter break with your loved ones!
