Letter from Mr. V Letter from Mr. V

Dear Jaguar Community,

This week, Josh Crepault and his team finished construction of our outdoor classroom pavilion! A huge shout out is due to him and his team for their hard work, to Ann and the PTA for their dedication in getting this project across the finish line, and to 5th grade teacher Andrew Iwaskiewicz for his vision to bring this structure onto our campus. Feel free to stop and take a look at this wonderful space for outdoor learning next time you at JES!

I also want to thank all of the folks who have submitted Acceptable Use Agreement and Google Account Authorization forms over the past couple of weeks. Without these, students access to their chromebook would be blocked. Chromebooks provide students many tools that allow them to access their learning (multi level texts, text read aloud, speech to text) and individualized/self paced instruction. If you are having difficulty navigating the Infinite Campus portal or finding/filling out forms, Courtney can assist you in person in the office.

My last note this week is that the mentor program is off to a great start! With a mix of adult mentors from the community and students from LUHS, we are currently giving seven students access to positive, reliable, and empowering relationships. Mentoring in schools is shown to increase academic achievement, social growth, attendance, confidence, and graduation rates among other things. If you have the time and disposition to be a consistent and positive force in one of our student's lives, reach out to me, and we can get you matched with your mentee!

Kind regards,

Dane VanNosdeln (Mr. V)

JES School Principal

Community Budget Collaboration & Act 73 Presentation

At Lamoille North Supervisory Union & School District, the voices of our students, families, staff, and community members are essential in shaping the future of our schools. As we begin the planning process for the Fiscal Year 2027 budget, we want to hear from you.

The Lamoille North Modified Unified Union School District Board is hosting a Community Budget Collaboration and Act 73 Discussion on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 6:00 to 7:30 in the CEC at Green Mountain Tech. The evening will include round table discussions based on community budget priorities, a free dinner prepared by the Lamoille North School Nutrition team, and a presentation on the efforts of the working groups created by the passing of Vermont's Act 73 by school board members and district leaders.

In preparation for the discussion on Monday, November 10th, we're asking parents, families, staff, and community members to complete a short school budget survey.

You can use this link to access the survey.
