District Update - May 29
Interim Superintendent's Message
Midview Families, Staff, and Community,
Another school year has officially come to a close at Midview Local Schools! Over the last several weeks, our buildings have been filled with moments that make the final days of the school year some of the most memorable—award ceremonies, graduations, end-of-year PBIS celebrations, field trips, field days, and the excitement that comes with reaching the finish line of another year together.
As always, we ended the year with one of Midview’s favorite traditions: staff members lining the sidewalks to wave goodbye as buses pulled away for the final time, horns blaring. It is a simple moment, but one that reflects something important about our district—the relationships, care, and sense of belonging that exist throughout our schools.
While this year brought many reasons to celebrate, like every year, it also came with its share of challenges. Through each season, one thing remained constant: the way the Midview community continues to come together in support of our students. Our staff, families, and community members consistently stepped up, supported one another, and kept students at the center of the great work we do. That commitment is what allows Midview to continue moving forward and growing stronger.
Throughout the year, our students excelled in academics, athletics, fine arts, leadership opportunities, and future-ready learning experiences. Just as importantly, they continued developing the character, work ethic, and interpersonal skills that will serve them well long after their time at Midview. We are proud of the growth we have seen across all grade levels and grateful for the staff members who support that progress each day.
I will always look back fondly on the 2025–2026 school year, as it gave me the privilege of serving as your Interim Superintendent. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to lead a district I care deeply about and have proudly called my professional home for the past 14 years. This experience has only deepened my appreciation for the people who make our district all that it is. I look forward to continuing to serve Midview alongside Mr. Heuser in my role as Assistant Superintendent.
Please continue to stay connected with us through our website and social media channels for updates throughout the summer. If you have any questions, the Board of Education office can be reached at 440-748-5353.
Have a safe, FUN, and enjoyable summer, Middies!
Best,
Mrs. Meredith Udris
Interim Superintendent
