Principal's Hello Principal's Hello

Dear Golden Eagle Families,

Thank you to everyone who came to Back to School Night last night! It was a long day for us but well worth it, as the energy in the building to kick off the new year was warm and positive.

Thank you for your open-minded listening as we explained new district policies, like iPads staying at school and standards-based grading. We also appreciate your consideration to help us "Fill the Nest," our one-time, annual ask for donations to fulfill teacher grants.

Have a great weekend, and we'll see you next week!

Sean

Fill Our Nest Giving Campaign Launches Fill Our Nest Giving Campaign Launches

The Pacific Crest Community Organization (PCCO) is excited to kick off our annual "Fill Our Nest" Giving Campaign. This one-time annual fundraising campaign runs from September 25th thru October 31st 2025, but of course we will accept contributions all year!

Your donations will support a multitude of enriching activities, events, programs, and grants for our students and staff. This year, our goal is to raise $20,000 in financial support from our community. If we go over our goal, that’s even better! Every additional dollar will help us provide even more opportunities and support for our Golden Eagles.

These funds support programs such as school social events, teacher/staff grants, school enrichment clubs, funds/scholarships for field trips and classroom experiences for each grade level. None of these programs would be possible without the support of this fantastic community.

Please consider making a one-time, tax-deductible, financial gift (tax ID# 47-4312566) to the PCCO "Fill Our Nest” Giving Campaign. If you are interested in making a personal or business donation, please complete the donation/sponsorship form and return it to the front office. Donations can also be made online via PayPal or by following one of the QR codes below to PayPal or Venmo.

Please feel free to contact us with questions at pacificcrestcoboard@gmail.com.

Thank you for your support!

What is PCCO? What is PCCO?

The Pacific Crest Community Organization (PCCO) is our school’s parent and community organization, working alongside Pacific Crest staff and families to support our students, teachers, and school community. Through fundraising, volunteering, and community-building, PCCO helps provide the extras that make Pacific Crest such a great place to learn and grow.

Join Us for Our Annual Town Hall!

Our Annual PCCO Town Hall Meeting will be held October 15 at 4:30 p.m. in the Pacific Crest Library. All Pacific Crest parents and guardians are welcome! Come learn more about PCCO, what we’re working on this year, how our funds are used, and ways you can get involved. We’d love to see you there!

NEW: PCCO Engagement Committee NEW: PCCO Engagement Committee

Looking for an easy, fun way to be more involved at Pacific Crest? We’re launching a new PCCO Engagement Committee, and we’d love to have you join us!

This group will focus on showing our Pacific Crest community some love throughout the year, including:

  • Organizing staff potlucks and meals
  • Helping with Teacher and Classified Staff Appreciation Weeks
  • Assisting with school events and volunteer needs
  • Finding other fun ways to support our students, teachers, and staff

This is not a huge time commitment! It’s simply a great way to stay connected to what’s happening at Pacific Crest, meet other parents and guardians, and lend a hand when you can.

We’ll send out a Doodle poll and plan our first meeting for a convenient time in early November. Interested? Email us at pacificcrestCOboard@gmail.com and we’ll add you to the list!

Last Day to Purchase iPad Insurance: 9/30 Last Day to Purchase iPad Insurance: 9/30

We strongly recommend that every family purchase iPad insurance. The majority of iPad damage occurs on campus and insurance is a good way to protect your family from unexpected repair or replacement costs.

**Insurance protects against unexpected damage and certain major incidents.
It does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or missing accessories.

Optional annual iPad insurance is $30 per student, with a family cap of $60.

A quick reminder about Retake Day: Retake Day is only for students who were absent on Picture Day. Please help us make sure your student is ready to have their picture taken on the scheduled Picture Day, as retakes will not be available for students who simply do not like their photo.

Snack Shack is a fun little “extra” treat for students after they have finished their lunch. It is open most days for students to grab a treat after their lunch meal has been served. We try to keep sweets in moderation, but here are examples of what they can enjoy:

  • Goldfish – $1.00

  • Chips – $1.25

  • Ice cream – $1.25

  • Rice Krispie treat – $1.25

  • Bottled water – $1.50

  • Capri Sun – $1.00

  • Envy – $2.25

  • Cookies – $0.50

With BLPay, snacks are easy, quick, and cash-free! Your student can enjoy treats without the hassle of carrying money. Your child can also bring cash or checks to school. We can add it to their account immediately. Just a heads-up: we don’t give change back, so any cash goes straight into the account
